Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace takes place everyday at 1:30am from May to July, and from August to April the ceremony takes place at the same time but on alternate days.

HMS Belfast was built in 1938. This naval ship is a living monument to the great sea battles of WW2. Apart from seeing the HMS Belfast and if you want to spend time in this area, include a trip to the London Dungeon for a perfectly horrible experience!!

Tower of London has been a citadel, royal palace, seat of government and also the scene of some of the bloodiest events in English history. Kings, queens, princes, princesses and people of the highest rank have shared the same fate whithin it's walls as spies, plotters and traitors. The Tower of London is where they were tortured, beheaded, murdered or imprisoned. It is also the nation's treasure house, containing the Crown Jewels.

London Zoo Regent's Park is one of the oldest zoological gardens in the world. There are over 12,000 animals on display. Also in the area and if you have time it is worth taking a narrow boat from Camden Lock which stops off at the zoo.

Madame Tussaud's Marylebone Road is London's busiest attraction and houses one of the world's largest collection of life-like wax models of celebrities, politicians and other world famous people. The London Planetarium is located next door and is worth a visit.

St Paul's Cathedral, The galleries, crypt and ambulatory operate slightly different opening times. The Cathedral is open from 8:00am to 6:00pm daily.

Tower Bridge is a world renowned landmark. You can go inside this fantastic structure, and from the walkways there are excellent river panoramas of the city.
